Make a difference for MSB Students

Located in the northeast corner of Baltimore, The Maryland School for the Blind (MSB) is a private, statewide resource center providing outreach, school and residential programs to children and youth from infancy to age 21 who are blind or visually impaired including those with multiple disabilities.

Each year the school serves 73% of the 1,800 students identified in Maryland who are blind or visually impaired.  MSB ensures that each student's fullest potential is reached and parent and local school system expectations are exceeded.

Due to the weather related closings this school year, The Maryland School for the Blind currently needs to make up five snow days.  The schedule for snow make-up days will be as follows:

  • Tuesday, May 27th will be a school day, as a make-up day.

Students from distant counties will return to school on Monday, May 26th at the usual Sunday arrival time.

    • All other students will return to school on Tuesday morning.

  • The remaining four snow make-up days are scheduled to occur on Monday, June 9th through Thursday, June 12th.

  • Thursday, June 12th, the last day of school, will be a half day.

Friday, June 6thwas originally scheduled to be a half day of school  Due to the change in schedule Friday, June 6th will be a full day of school.
