Structuring for Optimal Learning and Acquiring Real Life Skills

(SOLAR)

The Maryland School for the Blind's SOLAR program serves students who are blind or visually impaired with disorders of communicating and relating, including those on the autism spectrum.  This program emphasizes the development of functional life skills. Highly structured, sensory controlled environments provide needed support for effective learning.
