FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW MEMBERS ELECTED TO SCHOOLS BOARD OF DIRECTORS- BALTIMORE, MD The Maryland School for the Blind (MSB) has elected the following new members to serve on its Board of Directors:- Virginia K. Beauchamp A legislative aide to Del. Sue Kullen, D-27B, in Calvert County since 2004, Ms. Beauchamp also has co-chaired the Faith-Based Community Outreach Initiative for Prince Georges County Department of Social Services since 2001. Previously, she was a classroom teacher and project manager for Prince Georges County Public Schools from 1967-92, and returned from 2001-04 as a retired rehire classroom teacher. From 1992-2001, Ms. Beauchamp worked for the National Association for the Self-Employed in Washington, D.C., as vice president, director of Government Relations, and special assistant to the president. She earned a masters degree in Education with a minor in Political Science in 1977 from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., and a bachelors degree in Education with a minor in Political Science from Towson University. She resides in Chesapeake Beach.- Marion L. Mullauer As a senior executive with extensive experience in Information Technology and Operations across diverse industries, Ms. Mullauer has been the vice president and chief information officer for Bethesda-based Hanger Orthopedic Group, Inc. since August, and was also vice president and chief information officer for the American Chemical Society in Washington, D.C., from 2003-05. She also worked for Preferred Health Network of Maryland, Inc. in Baltimore from 1993-97 as vice president, chief information officer and director of Information Services, before going to work for Lippincott Williams & Wilkins in Baltimore from 1997-2002 as vice president and chief information officer. Ms. Mullauers previous employment also included senior positions with CSX Technology, Inc. in Baltimore and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maryland, Inc. in Towson. She earned a - bachelors degree in business administration from Towson University in 1978, and a masters in business administration from Loyola College in 1993. She resides in Cockeysville.- Located in the northeast corner of Baltimore, The Maryland School for the Blind is a private, nonprofit school dedicated to educating children and youth from infancy to age 21 who are blind, visually impaired and multiply disabled.
